Winter Concert: Volare

This concert will feature two songs by Cuban composer Guido Galivan Lopez. Full of laughter, dance, and vibrant rhythms, these songs feature a whimsical text accompanied by unique vocal percussion. Another highlight is sure to be “Leonardo dreams of his flying machine”, one of American Eric Whitacre’s recent compositions.

A Lenten Organ Communion Series:

These simple ecumenical services with organ music, prayer and communion are intended to provide a quiet noon-hour oasis. Each service will begin at 12:00 noon at Broadway Disciples United Church, Broadway at Kennedy Wednesdays during Le. Organists will include:

Feb 28: Kerrine Wilson (First Evangelical Lutheran Church)
Mar 7: Sylvia Scott Wortley (Broadway Disciples United Church)

A Bach Birthday Bash

Happy 322nd Birthday Herr Bach

The program will be a joyous performance of J. S. Bach favorites by the Choir of St. John's Cathedral, organist Alex Campbell, Michael Cutler and Tom Packham, and duo violinists Nathan and Thomas Roberts.
Following the concert, the party continues with birthday cake and coffee/tea. We also plan to have a cash wine bar.

Admission is by optional donation.

We hope many people will join us for this informal celebration that marks the beginning of spring as well as commemorating our great patriarch.

Songs of peace and unity performed by the Abha Voices Choir conducted and accompanied by concert pianist Alex Zografov. Guest artists Marielle Audet on the clarinet and Meleyna Bighorn, vocals will also be performing with the choir.
